Description
Hope Grit and Gratitude. By choosing to go for every opportunity, and making life better for others, Leigh and her family pulled through the toughest time.
Have you ever found yourself coasting along the highway of life, getting caught up in the constant hustle and bustle? Believing all those daily tasks and responsibilities are a top priority and must get done urgently?
Then a monumental event takes you into the crash zone and your world is suddenly on a detour through some terrifying, uncharted territory?
That happened to our family on the 5th of November 2005.
Our wonderful, strong, happy, and healthy-looking 14-year-old son, Ashley, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia – an aggressive type of cancer of the blood and bone marrow.
The week before, he’d mentioned that the glands in his neck were swollen. As both my husband and daughter had just had throat infections, I told him it was probably the same thing, and that we’d keep an eye on it. His glands were still enlarged a couple of days later, so we went for what I thought would be a routine check-up at the doctors.
When I noticed the doctor being unexpectedly thorough with his examination for a sore throat, things suddenly became very serious for me.
He asked if Ash had been getting bruises and my heart stopped. I froze with fear.

Wow, this book inspired me to do so many things that I have only thought about doing, We often think we want something but don’t really make an effort to make it happen. after reading this book I am no longer going to think that way. Everyone can experience some inspiration from reading this book. A very special lady indeed, to experience such heartbreak to becoming a incredible giving person. Leigh has made a difference to so many lives. Do yourselves a favour and read it, you won’t regret it!! I was sad when I finished it.
