Lionel McKennariey has authored a number of books including:
Diary of a Salesman
The Darkstorm Conspiracy
Etiquette and Effluence
Lionel McKennariey was born in Brisbane, Australia, and enjoyed a successful career in sales and marketing while based in Sydney. In 1986, he returned to Brisbane and established Communication Dynamics Pty Ltd and Prestige Selling Services.
In 2017, Lionel shifted to a semi-retired life, enjoying reading, art, and croquet. He prefers to see himself as a creative storyteller rather than a writer—someone who combines humour, insight, and historical flavour into captivating stories.
His debut book, Diary of a Salesman, is based on his real-life experiences as a self-starter navigating the competitive world of selling in Sydney during the 1970s—charting his journey to earning the title of ‘Salesman of the Year.’ Told with candid humour, engaging narrative, and historical texture, it celebrates the roles of perseverance and serendipity in shaping an unexpected success story.
His second book, The DarkStorm Conspiracy, is a fictional story set in Los Angeles featuring agent Alistair Carter battling the forces of darkness. It makes a daring leap into metaphysical mystery, exploring the timeless conflict between good and evil. It raises unsettling questions: Is Satan real? Is God real? Who—or what—is guiding our lives? And what secrets lie behind modern UFO sightings? Thoughtful and bold, the book invites readers to ponder forces often left unspoken.
Author of Diary of a Salesman, The DarkStorm Conspiracy, and Etiquette and Effluence, Lionel crafts stories with historical depth, social insight, and an irresistible comedic twist. From espionage to etiquette, his books show that no matter the setting—commerce, conspiracy, or English country life—good storytelling knows no borders.
