Description

A Pink House on Wheels is a twisted roller-coaster of action, self-discovery and passionate love. This is the second novel by Tammy Bartaia.

The story begins with daisy:

Daisy glanced down at her wristwatch, it confirmed that she was punctual for the job interview. She arrived at the magazine publishing company at nine o’clock on the dot. She could hear the beating of her heart throbbing in her ears with excitement. Her palms grew sweaty and she wiped them on her skirt. Marching over to the secretary desk, she noticed the tall young woman spraying water onto the cactus, humming happily to herself.

“Hello, I’m Daisy Barton,” she smiled at her. Tiny dimples appeared on both sides of her mouth.

“Just a sec, let me give my plant a quick drink,” replied the secretary with a grin.

Daisy’s eyes drifted towards the deep green mini cactus with tons of needles. The secretary moistened the soil quite well to make sure that the roots of a plant absorbed enough water. She gave a light spray under the pot as well. “This little cactus is my best friend here. It helps me breathe better and makes me happy.”

“Yeah, plants really don’t ask for much, just a splash of cold water and a bit of love.” Replied Daisy.

The secretary placed the plant mister on the table. “What can I do for you?”  She asked, fluttering her eyelashes. Daisy realised that her stiff, straight eyelashes looked exactly like insect legs.

“I have a job interview with the editor-in-chief,” Daisy’s voice filled with excitement at the thought of meeting Ms Brown.

“She is going to be late today. Are you willing to wait for her or do you want me to reschedule your appointment?”

A Pink House On Wheels perfectly complements Tammy Bartaia’s first novel “The Young Woman With An Old Soul”
